Work out what a guest posting campaign actually costs. Every figure below comes from live pricing on our marketplace — not industry averages or guesswork.
Most articles answering how much does a guest post cost give you an industry average, which is a number assembled from everybody else's invoices and matched to nothing you are buying. This calculator uses the live prices on our own marketplace instead. Set the number of posts and the Domain Authority band and it returns what those placements cost here today.
That makes the figure narrower than an average and more useful than one: it is a price you can actually pay rather than a midpoint between a cheap link farm and an enterprise agency.
The average guest post price is a wide range for four reasons: the authority of the site, its real organic traffic, whether the link is dofollow, and whether the article is written for you. Authority and traffic move the price the most, and they do not move together — a site with a high score and no readers is cheap for a reason.
This is why two quotes for the same job can differ several times over. Compare the metrics behind each price before you decide one vendor is expensive.
It does not include your own time choosing sites and briefing articles, and it does not include the posts that never get placed. Budget a little above the figure rather than exactly at it, and if you want the spend spread across months instead of one total, the backlink budget planner does that part.
One more thing worth knowing before you compare quotes: a cheap placement on a site with no readers is not a saving, it is a different product. When you see guest post pricing far below everything else, check the organic traffic on that site rather than assuming you found a bargain. The usual explanation is that nobody reads it, which is also why the link does very little.
